SEW A LITTLE LOVE
This popped up in the middle of some building rubble at the bottom of the garden. Such a lovely surprise! With all the rain, the lawn has looked a little on the wild side. But I keep telling myself that we're going for the quintessential English meadow look! Besides, the beeslove the clover!
SEW A LITTLE LOVE: MY MAKES My love of sewing is what inspired me to write this blog many years ago. Sewing has become a big part of who I am. It's my little place of calm and self expression. SEW A LITTLE LOVE: HOME TOUR PART 3: MY HIDING PLACE... Hey, I am in the middle of getting very excited about our new build (yes new build, im thinking good cupboard space is the plus point here, compared to character, im still trying to convince myself this), and am thinking of how to get my fiance around to my cath kidston/vintage/shabby chic design ideas when he'd really rather have it a modern lads pad, any tips on persuading him around? SEW A LITTLE LOVE: THE LINEN DRAWER... My tip to you is to dig, dig, dig! Sometimes you'll find a pile of old linens literally just well, in a pile. Rifle through the muddle, and you are bound to find some beauties that speak to your crafty soul! If pieces are beautifully displayed by the stall holder, don't be afraid to pull them out and have a good look. SEW A LITTLE LOVE: FRIDAY FANCIES... Everything is so, so super cute! I especially love the seahorses, as they're one of my all-time favourite marine animals. In fact, I've said to Tony before that if we really get in sea water aquariums (we both have experience from our youth with fresh water, but not sea water), I would love to have a seahorse or two (knowing full well they're one of the hardest ocean creatures to keep going SEW A LITTLE LOVE: JAMMY JARS IN A JIFFY! I chose to cover only the blue plastic bitsI kind of like the contrasting shiny steel against the softness of the fabric. If you choose, you can glue the fabric at the beginning and the end, but this seems far to messy! I cut shorter bits of fabric to secure the startand end bits!

I visited the Milton Keynes Handmade, Vintage and Retro Fair at the weekend, and came away with the most charming 1960's floral prints. Many of my sewing projects require only small amounts of lace, so if a tray cloth is covered in tea stains, but the lace is in good condition, I won't pass it by.
