WAYS TO HELP YOUR COMMUNITY * _DONATE BLOOD_: The Coronavirus has put a strain on local blood supplies. Scouts 16 and older are encouraged to consider donating. Visit Bloodwork’s site to view information, and to sign-up for an appointment. Bloodworks has taken steps to enforce social distancing. Bloodworks NW Website * _DONATE FOOD OR VOLUNTEER: _Donate food at one of NW Harvest’s many drop-off locations, or volunteer at their Kent warehouse. Have an alternate food bank you’d like to support? We encourage you to check in with them to see how you can help. NW Harvest List of Drop Locations NW Harvest Volunteer Needs Flyer
* _WE NEED YOUR STORIES: _Scout have always stepped up during times of crisis. Many of our Scouts and leaders have found ways to serve our community. Scouts don't serve for recognition, so we don't always hear about it. But members of our community are looking for encouraging stories. Please let us know how your group is helping. Email Koby McInnis at kmcinnis@seattlebsa.org. Always follow the advice of health authorities and adhere to social distancing guidelines when volunteering. HOW TO HELP SCOUTING_MAKE A GIFT_
The coronavirus has had a negative impact on Chief Seattle Council’s annual fundraising campaign. With so many of our meetings cancelled, we’ve missed the opportunity to invite you to give in-person. Your help is critical right now. Please consider making a gift of $180 by clicking here.
Your gift will help ensure Chief Seattle Council stays fiscally sound during this difficult time._SIGN-UP FOR CAMP_
While we will defer to the recommendations of health and government officials, we're optimistic that our summer camp program will continue as planned. Camps Pigott, Parsons, Edward, and our Day Camps are gearing up to provide an exciting Scout program for youth and their families. Many of the program expenses and investments are made prior to the camp season, so signing up now helps us ensure that camps areready.
