MARK 12:18-27
Default. God, Jesus says, is a God of the living, not of the dead. To be fully with God after death is a different way of being. We go through death to a new life; we do not merely come back to the equivalent of earthly living. As we are transformed by Love, there is continuity, yet radical difference.MARK 10: 32-45
James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came forward to him and said to him, ‘Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.’. And he said to them, ‘What is it you want me to do for you?’. And they said to him, ‘Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and oneat

Bring me a denarius and let me see it." And they brought one. Then he said to them, "Whose head is this, and whose title?" They answered, "The emperor's." Jesus said to them, "Give to the emperor the things that are the emperor's, and to God the things that are God's." LIVING SPACE FRANK DOYLE SJ Living Space . For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. ‘You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, “You shall not murder”; and “whoever murders shall be liable to judgement.” But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgement; and if you insult aDAILY PRAYER

If someone asked you to give them another word for 'God', you could use the word 'Presence', for that is what God is. When Moses asked Yahweh his name, Yahweh replied, 'IJOHN 16:5-11
And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgement: about sin, because they do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer; about judgement, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.'. SOMETHING TO THINK AND PRAY ABOUT THIS WEEKPentecost
The four marks of our Christian belonging are our personal journey, our community belonging, our practical discipleship and our adult integration of faith and life. None of us ‘inhabits’ all four dimensions fully, all of the time, and yet all four dimensions should in principle be there. The good news of Pentecost is that the Spirit, poured into our hearts, enables all four aspects of our faith to live: the Spirit helps us in our prayer; the body of Christ is animated by the gifts of the Spirit; our service of others gets its energy from the Spirit and the Spirit ‘reminds us’ of all that Jesus taught. Today, we therefore celebrate our being disciples within the community of faith. read more...Prayer
Living God, breathe on us your Holy Breath that the Spirit, who raised Jesus from the dead, may bring us new life, vision and energy in the service of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen
