RSB AWARDS
The School Biology Teacher of the Year Award aims to recognise the very best and most inspiring secondary school and college teachers in the UK. Individuals can enter by being nominated, either by themselves, a colleague, parent/guardian of a student, school governor or head teacher, using our application form. CHARTERED - RSB.ORG.UK Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach) recognises the unique combination of skills, knowledge, understanding and expertise that is required by individuals involved in the specific practice and advancement of science teaching and learning. It engenders public confidence in professionals and gives employers confidence in theiremployees.

Apprenticeships enable you to become a fully competent scientist by building up your skills and experience in the working world alongside experienced staff. The combination of a qualification and work experience an apprenticeship provides will help you stand out to "ALL I'M PRESENTING IS A RANGE OF POSSIBILITIES" There are those of us who use fairly simple models to explore the range of possibilities that the system is capable of exhibiting, and to explore the sensitivity of the outcome to different parameters – crucial parameters such as the likelihood of dying upon infection. That's one style of modelling, which is what Bob May taught me and Ithink

Sport and exercise Sport and exercise help us to keep our bodies fit and healthy and can be used to help patients recover from illness and injury. Biologists play an important role in identifying and developing the best ways for doing this. Follow a career in biology and you can make a difference. EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY Equality & Diversity in our membership. We have demonstrated that imbalances in membership can be corrected, and have successfully used targeted recruitment initiatives and other means to improve low female representation within our Fellowship of 6.5% in 2007 to 21% in 2014.
