Our 2021 five-week Summer Intensive course is residential and for UK and international dance students. Each year the Summer Intensives run in two sought-after locations, historic White Lodge in Richmond Park (10 to 15-year-olds as of 31 August) and Covent Garden GRADUATE CONTRACTS 2020 Graduate contracts 2020. This year was The Royal Ballet School’s first ever virtual Graduation and although the new presentation would not ordinarily have been wished for, it was uniquely special and a moment in time that will be remembered and entered into the School’sarchives.

AUDITION - THE ROYAL BALLET SCHOOL The Royal Ballet School holds auditions across the UK and internationally. Applications for our full-time and Mid/Senior/Advanced Associate programmes open in October and close in January. Auditions take place in the Autumn and Spring Terms. All auditions are for courses which start the following September. Applications for our Junior Associate ACADEMIC AND BOARDING The Royal Ballet School gives talented dancers the chance to pursue a career in classical ballet, alongside their academic education. Students train full-time in classical ballet alongside their regular academic studies. Entry is by audition and hard work and dedication is required to progress through the school. Our students come from acrossELIGIBILITY
Boys and girls aged 14.00-15.11 by 31 August 2021 (in school years 9 or 10) Demonstrable commitment to the student of classical ballet and a good technical facility acquired through previous dance training. Girls must be en pointe and able to take part in pointe work training. For full-time training – the intention to train full-time FEES - THE ROYAL BALLET SCHOOL No potential student should be deterred from applying to The Royal Ballet School due to lack of financial means. About 90% of students are supported financially in some form with over 22% paying no fees at all. Please note that for full-time training for overseas students, at Upper School we can offer means-tested funding for most, but at WhiteDANCER TRAINING
Full-time dancer training. Our full-time courses are for students aged 11-19 years. They begin for the younger students at our White Lodge campus in Richmond Park, where we run a five-year classical ballet course alongside secondary academic studies. To complement the classical curriculum, White Lodge students learn Contemporary, Character and English folk dances. All of these form part of the basic dance curriculum essential to any vocational dance training. Rhythm and co-ordination are fundamental to dancers. In Year 7, young students gain a thorough grounding in their basics through VIDEO AUDITION REQUIREMENTS Video audition requirements. All video applicants must complete an online application form to include photos and fee payment together with a video link uploaded within the application form to be submitted by the video closing date.
