After a long Covid-induced hiatus, Letters Live will be making its 2021 and Roundhouse debut on Wednesday 28 July to celebrate letters through the live performance of written correspondence like never before. Letters Live is a celebration of the enduring power of literary correspondence. Each show always features a completely different array of great performers, reading remarkable lettersTHE SPECIALS
The Specials. English 2-Tone and ska band The Specials headline two very special nights at the Roundhouse to bring their 2021 UK tour to a close. Formed in 1977, the band played a significant role in the ska revival of the late 70s, kick-starting the 2-Tone movement that spurred a ska-punk revolution that would last for decades.STAFF - ROUNDHOUSE
Derek Richards – Head of Broadcast and Digital Programme (Joint) Piera Buckland – Film and Broadcast Producer. Dominic Gozo – Trainee Assistant Station Manager. TECHNICAL AND PRODUCTION. Ruth Butler – Head of Technical & Production. Hannah Strudwick – Assistant Production Manager. Tony Byrnes – Technical Manager. THE SISTERS OF MERCY The Sisters Of Mercy is 40 this year and will play 3 special shows at London’s Roundhouse. It howls, it’s grindingly beautiful, and it’s probably heading your way. New and hence unreleased songs make up half of any Sisters set these days, although the classics get a good thrashing in rotation.THE WATERBOYS
The Waterboys. Led by Scottish guitarist and vocalist Mike Scott, few bands have as great a live reputation as the soulful folk rock and roll maestros The Waterboys. The evolution of their sound has seen the band move through ‘the big music’ period of the ’80s to the influential mix of Celtic, gospel and country folk songs in lateralbums
MIDGE URE | ROUNDHOUSE Midge Ure will be transporting fans back to the ’80s as he comes to our main space in September 2022.. Following the overwhelming response to 2019’s ‘The 1980 Tour’, Midge Ure & Band Electronica are delighted to return to the road in 2022 with the ‘Voice & Visions’ tour, celebrating 40 years since the release of Ultravox’s Rage In Eden and Quartet albums. WHERE CAN I FIND A SEATING PLAN? There isn’t a seating plan that applies to all performances. This is because – unlike traditional venues – our main space has a flexible layout, which usually changes for different events. ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME 2020 The Self Made Accelerator programme is a 10 week business development programme for eight creative entrepreneurs aged between 18-30. Through weekly workshops, mentoring, pitch practice and peer to peer learning, this programme will provide entrepreneurs with all the skills to grow their business and turn it into a sustainable career. WORK AT THE ROUNDHOUSE The Interview Process. If you are shortlisted for interview you will receive an email from us letting you know you have been successful.
