‘CAUSE I’M A WOMAN… ENJOLI Enjoli. Enjoli was a popular perfume launched in 1978 by Charles of the Ritz. It was billed as a 8-hour perfume for the 24-hour woman and had a very memorable ad campaign to accompany it. Now, some commercials just stick with you. And this one for Enjoli is one of them. It uses the Leiber/Stoller classic, I’m a Woman as its basis. THE ORIGIN OF THE PHRASE “THAT’S A SPICY MEATBALL!” Mama Mia! What a catch phrase! I took an impromptu poll amongst my online friends about this famous utterance and although most of them knew the phrase, they could not identify its origin. If you follow me on social media, you might notice that every once in a while I post an ad for Kraft Potato Fudge. It is one of my favorite ads to post and it also fake. Post author. By Retroist. HOW TO DRESS LIKE MAGNUM PI I have always been a big fan of Magnum PI and I find the older I get, the more I find myself coming back to the series again and again. I think at some point in my youth, I determined that when I grew up, I would like to be Magnum. Sadly, the ship has THE ART OF DAVID A. TRAMPIER David A. Trampier or DAT, put together some of the most iconic roleplaying game art. His fingerprints are all over the early version of the game. Sadly he passed away and before that mysteriously stopped producting the fantasy style art we all loved. DO YOU REMEMBER BURGER QUEEN? Last night I received a link from a friend to memorabilia related to a restaurant called "Burger Queen." The restaurant chain, which launched in 1963, stayed as "Burger Queen" up until 1981 when they changed their name to Druther's. This change was supposed to be because they wanted people to not just associate them with THE BIG MAC SONG (1975) The words “two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun” are ingrained in my head forever!
