THE SEVENTH SEAL
I watched this film for the first time on Ash Wednesday. In the context of the present pandemic and its deadly effect on our lives, it is all the more compelling to view this film at this time. Also, as any good Catholic on that day, I was hungry, hoping to kill time until I could eat a hamburger or something. The Black Death served as part of the setting, and even as we are thankful that the JESUS’S PERFECTED SIGN OF JONAH Jesus’s Perfected Sign of Jonah. Since then, Mevo also released a new camera with a lot of additional features. We haven’t been able to look at that new model yet, but below is the guide I put together last year, which still serves as a good entry point into the ARE WE PALM SUNDAY FOLLOWERS OF JESUS? Palm Sunday was yesterday, marking the beginning of Holy Week. A week when Christians remember Jesus’s path toward crucifixion and His subsequent overcoming of death. While both Palm Sunday and Easter are filled with joy, the joy of Palm Sunday is striking in how the crowd was joyful – at least in part – for the wrong reasons. WHAT WE ENJOYED HERE FIVE YEARS AGO DRAWS A DIFFERENT You kinda gotta laugh. If you pay any attention to the national news you have seen how Washington, D.C. has gone more berserk than normal. The cause of this particular derangement is this year’s emergence of the proud members of brood X of the 17-year cicada.. You might think that it’s the first time it has happened (it isn’t), or that it’s some kind of national calamity (which it also ON THE GENERIC ROUTER HIGHWAY I decided to take a router from ECPN — a company so generic that it doesn’t even have a live web site — out for a spin. EMERGENCY COMPUTER REPAIR BRINGS POTENTIAL LEGISLATION TO In the spring of odd-numbered years, it’s my task to upgrade the operating systems on my computers. It sometimes goes uneventfully. Since January 1998 I’ve used the Linux operating system. Since June of that year I’ve used the K Desktop Environment, which is a graphical user interface similar to and in my estimation better than Windows.(I even wrote a book about it.) A LOOK AT THE WEEYLITE SPRITE 20 LIGHT KIT If you are new to photography or videography, it is easy to overlook the importance of lighting in producing truly great results. Advances driven by machine learning photography from Apple and Google are seriously reducing the utter necessity of lighting in many situations, but if you are aiming for the best quality video, pushing your live stream into pro territory or leveraging light forToggle navigation

NYT TRACKS THE PRESIDENT USING PUBLICLY AVAILABLE INFO By Timothy Butler | Dec 20, 2019 at 2:52 PM Stuart A. Thompson and Charlie Warzel write for the _New York Times_:
> If you own a mobile phone, its every move is logged and tracked by > dozens of companies. No one is beyond the reach of this constant > digital surveillance. Not even the president of the United States. The interactive graphic at the top of the article is enough to show just how alarmingly accurate tracking data on cell phones can be. If the president can be tracked this easily, it should be a sober reminder to all of us to care more about electronic privacy. PIXELMATOR PRO INTRODUCES "ML SUPER RESOLUTION" RESIZING By Timothy Butler | Dec 20, 2019 at 2:29 PM Pixelmator’s team unveiled a rather simple sounding, but stunning, new feature this week: a machine learning-based image resizing tool that allows for images to be made much larger without degrading them nearly as much as traditional techniques do. If you’ve ever had a photo you wanted to crop but the portion you wanted to focus on was simply too small afterwards, this is for you. START CHRISTMAS SENTIMENTALLY By Timothy Butler | Nov 29, 2019 at 3:33 PM A couple of holiday commercials released this week pull all the right levers to make them tear-worthy and, really, almost mini-Christmas specials. If you are looking for a short break from the hustle and bustle this weekend, check out these two instant classics from Comcastand Apple.
THE QUIET LITURGY OF MISTER ROGERS By Timothy Butler | Nov 27, 2019 at 11:32 AM Ryan J. Pemberton writes:

The resurgence of interest over the course of the last two years via last year’s documentary and this year’s Tom Hanks-starring drama show that we often have a pretty poor sense of what “should” be. > Except, it might. I was a Kickstart supporter for the Pebble Time in 2015. While the Apple Watch is superior in most ways, there was a definite charm to the Pebble’s design, its battery life was incredible and it did what most people want most from a smart watch — notifications — nearly as well as watchOS until some of the improvements in watchOS 6. The idea that there might eventually be a full on Rebble Watch, to continue Pebble’s efforts, excites me.ABOUT US
