The overall objective of the project is to provide connectivity to Government Ministries and Departments inCERTIFICATION
With a view to enhance the competitiveness of Ugandan IT Industry globally and to regulate the IT Products & Services, IT Training and Individual IT Service Providers in Uganda, there is a need to outline the minimum acceptable standards and to certify eligible entities to applicable international standards. COMPUTER MISUSE ACT 2011 (ACT NO. 2 OF 2011) The Act takes cognizance of the fact that all computer operations are susceptible to computer crimes and our current legal system does not recognize computer crimes thus the importance of a legislation to provide for computer crimes. It creates several computer misuse offences e.g. unauthorized modification of computer material.
