Suspension - This is the performance mod that will provide the most benefit. Start with Sonic springs in the right rate for you, along with new fork oil. For the rear, check the reviews of various shocks that people have used on the250.
CLEANING THE CARBS 1 Pour enough of the Pine-Sol solution into the bucket to cover the carbs. Soak the carbs and parts for about four days. Scrub the open areas just a bit with a toothbrush and green scrubby. Then do a normal carb cleaning for the jets and interior passages of the carbs. WHAT ARE THE ACCEPTABLE CLEARANCE RANGES? Acceptable clearance ranges are: 0.08mm - 0.13mm for the intake valve clearance ; 0.11mm - 0.16mm for the exhaust valve clearance; Are there any advantages to selecting a specific setting within that range?HARD LUGGAGE
Choices. Unfortunately, there are very few EX250-specific hard luggage options available. Most of them require making your own parts. Below are a few examples of homebrew hard luggage systems. SERVICING THE SWINGARM 7) Remove the plastic rings from either end of the pivot shaft sleeve and clean them. They pop out easily with your fingernails. 8) Remove the pivot shaft sleeve from the front of the swingarm by sliding it out one end. 9) Wash the pivot shaft, pivot shaft sleeve, and needle bearings with kerosene and dry thoroughly. DO I REALLY HAVE TO FOLLOW THIS BREAK-IN PERIOD The fact is that an engine is not fully broken in for several thousands of miles. During that period, you have to respect it more than you would a fully broken in engine. That said, the Ninja 250 is probably 95% broken in by 500 miles. And it's probably 90% broken in by 50 miles. Still -- and this is really beside the point of thisarticle
