STILL SMOKING OIL OUT EXHAUST AFTER TURBO REPLACEMENT Alright need some help here. I have an 05 custom V6 turbo set up and recently blew the turbo. It was smoking from the exhaust and shooting oil out of the blow off valve. Nasty. So I replaced the CHRA for my Garrett 3082r, cleaned all intercooler piping and blow off valve and turbo and found that THE ULTIMATE SUPERCHARGER THREAD *****Stage 1-Dyno tests on our liquid-to-air intercooled supercharger system for the 2.7L V6 have shown power gains of over 50HP & 40ft/lbs of torque to the wheels.Our test vehicle showed improvement from 143WHP to 193WHP, with flywheel horsepower obviously being more. Boost remains at 4lbs, but the kit includes a stand-alone liquid-to-airintercooler system.

But Borla is still available for $650—$850 depending on where you buy. Good quality sounds great, but out of the price range for most 16yo.TURBO KIT NEEDED

It's not like the 2.0 where it's so similar to the Mitsubishi 4G63 where you can make some small modifications to fit. The closest you'll get to a kit is the ATP up and down pipe thatmounts
SO YOUR ENGINE IS TICKING So your engine is ticking That is your valve lash adjusters making that noise - they are supplied oil by the oil pump, and are at the top of the engine, and get oil last.. If you use the proper weight oil, and a hyundai filter, you most likely will not get this noise. Usingcheap oil
LOUD KOCKING/RATTLING SOUND ON START-UP THAT DISAPPEARS It's like an extremely loud rattling/clanking noise. It doesn't do it when cranking, it's only when the car first starts up (more noticeable on cold start-up). It's also not every time you start it, only when it's been sitting awhile (such as over night). I'm not exactly sure what it is but it's pretty loud. After about 10-15 seconds or so, the STARTING PROBLEM. FUEL PUMP DOESN'T PRIME WITH KEY ON Still wouldn't start. Pulled fuel pump relay and put in a jumper wire to run the fuel pump and it started. Put the fuel pump relay back in and it starts and drives, but the fuel pump still doesn't prime when turning the key on. I'm afraid that after sitting overnight, it will once again refuse to start. REAR BRAKE CALIPER PISTON TURNS BUT WON'T RETRACT Discussion Starter · #1 · Jul 16, 2011. Like the title says, the piston on one of my rear calipers will turn with the cube tool, but won't retract. They got the code P1693 which is the immobilizertransponder.

Yes, main engine to firewall ground is prime, must be clean connection and tight. Check fuses, not visually but with a tester or meter. Tester will light on back of fuse when fuse is open (ignition on). Meter should either show "0VDC", or "battery voltage" when checking both fuse tabs on the back side of the fuse to ground. Basically, once your camshafts are removed, you can access your lifters, you just have to lift them by hand, oil the new lifters and place them. It supposes to remove the timing belt, remove valve covers, remove camshafts. RADIO WON'T WORK (NOT THE FUSES) remove the BCM & fuse panel cover directly in front of your left knee, then get down and look towards the top left side of the BCM and you will see the yellow fuse cover. pull it out and flip the top up to access the fuse itself. Then you're supposed to shut it off and wait for 5 minutes, then start it again (it might be hard) and smoke away! STILL SMOKING OIL OUT EXHAUST AFTER TURBO REPLACEMENT ive seen it a cat equipment a billion times, the lip seal on the impeller shaft goes and the the oil pressure can push small amounts out of it, any one thats got a diesel that has some mileage on ull see the same thing, blue smoke out the exhaust or black stacking it real bad,if pop the turbo off the flange and check the exhaust side u may feel a sticky residue, that would be the oil weepingTURBO KIT NEEDED

But Borla is still available for $650—$850 depending on where you buy. Good quality sounds great, but out of the price range for most 16yo. Yes, main engine to firewall ground is prime, must be clean connection and tight. Check fuses, not visually but with a tester or meter. Tester will light on back of fuse when fuse is open (ignition on). Meter should either show "0VDC", or "battery voltage" when checking both fuse tabs on the back side of the fuse to ground. SO YOUR ENGINE IS TICKING So your engine is ticking That is your valve lash adjusters making that noise - they are supplied oil by the oil pump, and are at the top of the engine, and get oil last.. If you use the proper weight oil, and a hyundai filter, you most likely will not get this noise. Usingcheap oil
STARTING PROBLEM. FUEL PUMP DOESN'T PRIME WITH KEY ON Still wouldn't start. Pulled fuel pump relay and put in a jumper wire to run the fuel pump and it started. Put the fuel pump relay back in and it starts and drives, but the fuel pump still doesn't prime when turning the key on. ANYONE EVER REPLACE HYDRAULIC LIFTERS? Joined Dec 27, 2007. ·. 932 Posts. #2 · Sep 14, 2011. You can follow the "2.7 timing belt" then "mild camshafts" DIY here. Basically, once your camshafts are removed, you can access your lifters, you just have to lift them by hand, oil the new lifters and place them. It supposes to remove the timing belt, remove valve covers, remove camshafts. RADIO WON'T WORK (NOT THE FUSES) remove the BCM & fuse panel cover directly in front of your left knee, then get down and look towards the top left side of the BCM and you will see the yellow fuse cover. pull it out and flip the top up to access the fuse itself. I havnt noticed any loss of power WHEEL SPACERS--PUT A LITTLE GREASE OR ANTI-SEIZE OR NOT So I picked up a cheap set of 16" steel wheels to run in the winter. On the front they are verrry close to the brake calipers, so I ordered a set of 3mm wheel spacers just to give a little more clearance. My question is whether to grease or anti-seize the back of the spacerwhere it contacts

I originally turbocharged the car back in October 2012 with a Kinugawa TD05H-20G and Jattus tubular / equal length manifold. This setup has proven to be a beast on the street, it's alsobeen also
LOUD KOCKING/RATTLING SOUND ON START-UP THAT DISAPPEARS It's like an extremely loud rattling/clanking noise. It doesn't do it when cranking, it's only when the car first starts up (more noticeable on cold start-up). It's also not every time you start it, only when it's been sitting awhile (such as over night). I'm not exactly sure what it is but it's pretty loud. After about 10-15 seconds or so, the WHEEL SPACERS--PUT A LITTLE GREASE OR ANTI-SEIZE OR NOT So I picked up a cheap set of 16" steel wheels to run in the winter. On the front they are verrry close to the brake calipers, so I ordered a set of 3mm wheel spacers just to give a little more clearance. My question is whether to grease or anti-seize the back of the spacerwhere it contacts

Yea you dump 1/3 in the tank, 1/3 in the oil, and 1/3 through the brake booster hose while it's running (slowly, so you don't have it die on you right away). Then you're supposed to shut it off and wait for 5 minutes, then start it again (it might be hard) and smoke away! CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AFTER COLD AIR INTAKE WAS PUT Registered. The first time I tried to reset the ecu I unplugged the battery for 15min then I tried to start it with the battery unplugged, and then waited 10 more minutes. It ran a bit better then the light came on after 100miles :/ I'll try doin that onein a lil bit.
