Selections from the Nerman Museum’s permanent collection are on display in several designated museum galleries and within various special exhibitions. With nearly 400 works of art on permanent display across campus, the college demonstrates the philosophy of “living with art” through a series of media focus areas ABOUT THE NERMAN MUSEUM The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (NMOCA) has one of the top internationally acclaimed collections of emerging and established artists today. Public Art Review magazine named JCCC as one of the top 10 university/college campuses for public art in America, citing the sculptures, paintings, ceramics, photography and works on paper installed throughout the campus. EVOCATIONS · CELEBRATING THE MUSEUM'S COLLECTION Evocations also represents one of the parting exhibits organized by Bruce Hartman, prior to his retirement on December 31, 2020. NEW VIEW | NERMAN MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART Recent Acquisitions for the Nerman Museum. New View in the Johnson County Community College Gallery of Art will unveil 22 new works of art destined for the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. This “sneak peak” will allow visitors a glimpse of recent acquisitions for the college’s pending museum, as well as set the stage for futureannouncements.

PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTION The Photography Collection contains nearly two hundred photographs featuring nationally and internationally known artists as well as prominent local artists. The collection includes photographs that debuted in Nerman exhibitions, such as “Tony”, 2011, which was featured in Zack Balber’s solo exhibition “Tamim” in 2012.×
