Nepean Blue Devils – Respect, Commitment, Excellence RECREATIONAL PROGRAM Recreational Program. The NBBA offers a Recreational program for boys and girls where they can enjoy the game of basketball and improve their basketball skills in the context of both team practices and league play. The Recreational program is split into three divisions: U14 – for boys and girls aged 12-13. U16 – for boys and girls aged14-15.

With the worsening and uncertainty of the Covid-19 situation and the unlikelihood of securing OCSB or OCDSB gyms, we will not be able to have club teams, practices, and league games. WEST END BASKETBALL LEAGUE The West End Basketball League (WEBL) is comprised of a number of member basketball associations located primarily in the west-end of Ottawa with the purpose of providing a safe and fun environment for recreational basketball teams and players to compete each season. FALL TRAINING SESSIONS FOR RETURNING COMPETITIVE PLAYERS On September 29 the Ottawa Christian School suspended the gym permit until further notice, putting OCS sessions on hold. Starting November 6, the NBBA is running training sessions at the Nepean Sportsplex on Friday and Saturday nights and Sundays. The Nepean Blue Devils have grown to be one of the most successful competitive programs in the province, with teams often finishing in the top 10 in their age group in provincial rankings. The NBBA offer a competitive boys and girls team at each age group (U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 and U19). A high level of commitment is expected OBA RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES PHASE 4 Ontario Basketball has announced Return to Play guidelines for Phase 4 of a multi-phased approach to safely resuming basketball activities. The guidelines include now allowing teams in Green-Yellow-Orange (but not Red) zones to scrimmage in team RECREATIONAL PROGRAM Recreational Program. The NBBA offers a Recreational program for boys and girls where they can enjoy the game of basketball and improve their basketball skills in the context of both team practices and league play. The Recreational program is split into three divisions: U14 – for boys and girls aged 12-13. U16 – for boys and girls aged14-15.
BLUE DEVILS VIRTUAL BASKETBALL TRAINING SESSIONS Although the current lockdown prevents the NBBA from offering in-person winter training sessions, we are pleased to present FREE live online basketball training sessions to all club members, delivered on Saturdays via Zoom, starting January 9th. Weekly sessions will be offered during the lockdown, and possibly afterwards as well. Given current uncertainty, we are targeting to make details and registration available by June 14, at least for July. Virtual camps may be another option, as was USE OF SCHOOLS UPDATE On September 14 the OCSB cancelled all permits until the end of December. With the worsening and uncertainty of the Covid-19 situation and the unlikelihood of securing OCSB or OCDSB gyms, we will not be able to have club teams, practices, and league games. We are, however, prepared to re-look at our planREGISTRATION

The Barrhaven Girls Basketball Association was incorporated in 2002 under the Canada Corporations Act and in 2010 became the Nepean Basketball Association, which was continued in 2014 under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP Act). The minimum number of directors is 3 and the maximum is 10. Association directors are the members of the Executive Committee, which is the board of VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS As we settle into a new normal – at least for the foreseeable future – the Nepean Blue Devils Basketball Club has been looking for ways to provide programming to our membership that will help our players continue to enjoy and participate in the sport of basketball.z
