NATUREPLUS – INTERNATIONALER VEREIN FÜR ZUKUNFTSFÄHIGES BAUEN UND WOHNEN – NATUREPLUS E.V. NACHHALTIGES BAUEN MIT DEM NATUREPLUS®- QUALITÄTSZEICHEN Der Bau- und Wohnbereich verschlingt weltweit rund 40 % der Ressourcen und etwa 50 % der Primärenergie in Europa. Mehr als 90 % der Lebenszeit verbringen wir durchschnittlich in ge­schlossenen, zunehmend luftdichten Gebäuden. Die Qualität von Bauprodukten hat daher einen großen Einfluss auf die Umwelt und unsere Gesundheit. Um Verbrauchern und Bauprofis in Europa eine klare Orientierung bei der Produkt-Wahl im Baubereich zu geben, hat der internationale Verein NATUREPLUS das gleichnamige Umweltzeichen entwickelt. Es bestätigt die Einhaltung hoher Qualitätsnormen auf allen für die Nachhaltigkeit relevanten Gebieten. Das NATUREPLUS®-Qualitätszeichen wurde bislang an über 600 Bauprodukte in Europa vergeben und verfügt über eine europaweite Anerkennung bei Baufachleuten, Verbrauchern, Umweltverbänden, Regierungsorganisationen und Systemen zur Gebäudebewertung. Die Prüfungen zur Verifikation dieser Anforderungen werden von akkreditierten Laboren und Gutachtern nach anerkannten internationalen Standards durchgeführt. Damit ist das NATUREPLUS®-Qualitätszeichen für Bauprodukte das einzige europäische Umweltlabel, dem strenge wissenschaftliche Kriterien zu Grunde liegen und das auf drei Säulen

beruht:

Das natureplus-Qualitätszeichen bietet Verbrauchern und Bauprofis sichere Orientierung auf nachhaltige, d.h. umweltverträgliche und gesundheitlich unbedenkliche Produkte. Netzwerk

natureplus setzt gemeinsam mit Baustoff-Herstellern (Industrie), Fachhändlern, Planern, Architekten und Verarbeitern, Organisationen und Institutionen im Umwelt- und Verbraucherschutz sowie Prüfinstituten Akzente für nachhaltige Baustoffe mit dem Ziel, diese im Bewusstsein aller Marktteilnehmer besser zu verankern, um der Nachhaltigkeit im Bauwesen zum Durchbruch zu verhelfen.

Verein

Der natureplus e.V. wurde 2001 ins Leben gerufen und bringt die Interessen von Fachleuten aus Baustoff-Industrie, Handel, Bauplanung und Bauwirtschaft mit Umwelt- und Verbraucherschützern, Gewerkschaftern sowie kritischen Wissenschaftlern aus ganz Europa zusammen. Ziel ist die Förderung des nachhaltigen Bauens und Wohnens.
