MAJOR FLOODING OF FEBRUARY 2012 Doctors Creek refers only to a very short length of creek in the immediate vicinity of the Doctors Creek bridge on the northern edge of Narrabri. Doctors Creek drains into Narrabri Creek (the main channel of the Namoi River) just there near the bridge. This creek is fed by Mulgate Creek, which runs south-west from near 12-Mile Hill, staying pretty close to the Killarney Gap (Bingara) Rd NARRABRI'S THUNDERSTORM OF 20 JANUARY 2005 Narrabri's Thunderstorm of 20th January 2005. The damage was quite widespread in Narrabri, with the most intense destruction occurring in the North of town, eg around the Golf Club and Doctors Creek bridge areas. This flooding, together with local runoff, caused a large number of roads to be closed in the Shire and Pilliga and several properties were isolated for a number of days.
