MSA LIVE 21
Manchester School of Architecture’s annual programme of student-led live projects. Each year the MSA Live (formerly Events) programme unites Master of Architecture year 1 with BA (Hons) Architecture years 1 and 2 and Master of Landscape Architecture year 1 students in mixed-year teams to undertake live projects with external partners to create social impact. MASTERS – MSA 2020 – MANCHESTER SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE Manchester School of Architecture is a joint school of The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE (MARCH) Tuition Fees (2021 Entry) UK and Channel Island Students. Full-time fee: £9,250 per year. Tuition fees will remain the same for each year of your course providing you complete it in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study). MASTER OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE Duration. 2 years full-time. 4 years part-time. Students with a good honours degree in Landscape Architecture may enter directly into Part 2 of the programme (1 year full-time or 2 years part-time). The Master of Landscape Architecture course is accredited by the Landscape Institute. Degree awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University.MSA LIVE 21
On Thursday the 20th of May, the MSA CONNECT team had helped BA students to focus on their future plans and prepare their mind map. The purpose of this session was to set the knowledge basis, which students will use later to develop their own. Posted 21 May 202119:47.
RESEARCH 2 - DISSERTATION Research 2 - Dissertation. Although often considered solely as a design discipline, the wider intellectual tradition of architecture remains important to the discipline. The Research units in the MArch are key to our students’ development of their own agendas: definingwhat they are
CONTINUITY IN ARCHITECTURE Continuity in Architecture at Manchester School of Architecture was established in 1993. It is a studio for teaching and research. It focuses upon the sustainable design of new buildings and public spaces within the historic city and interventions within existing structures. THE LANDSCAPES OF POST-WAR INFRASTRUCTURE: CULTURE The network will unite an existing multidisciplinary team of academics with new members from government agencies, the private sector, community groups and artists to consider the landscapes of infrastructure broadly, but with attention to some specific cases.PROFESSOR OLA UDUKU
Professor Ola Uduku. Ola Uduku took up a Professorship in Architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture in 2017. Prior to this she was Reader in Architecture, and Dean International for Africa, at Edinburgh University. RESEARCH 1 - METHODS Research 1 - Methods. The unit Research 1 - Methods offers an opportunity for students to explore techniques and processes that inform design as a spatial practice. The course develops methodological capability consistent with the discipline of design production and students are encouraged to develop the subject of theirenquiry in parallel
PROVOCATIONS LECTURE SERIES 2020 The 'Provocations' are a series of fast-rolling events centred on establishing a discussion. Each Provocation will be introduced and chaired by a discussant, with 20-minute presentations followed by a panel discussion between speakers and the audience. The aim was to produce an architecture that could now effect a state of change over several decades. A proposal that could establish a new identity for the people of Manchester and the area that grows out of society andplace.

Dominic Sagar. Dominic became a full time lecture at MSA in 2008. Prior to this Dominic, a fully qualified architect, was a founding partner in Sagar Stevenson Architects, a practice set up in 1989 in a decrepit derelict run down area of the City centre.
