Yes we BACK TO BACK MARATHONS Last year at Kona one of my friends gave me a pair of lululemon Hotty Hot shorts as a gift and I’ve been kinda crazy about them since! They are REALLY comfortable while running. As an added bonus, they are just plain cute, so I often don’t feel in a rush to take them offpost run.
BACK TO BACK MARATHONS: 2 WEEKS APART Monday – rest – no running, cross training or lifting. Tuesday – rest – no running, cross training or lifting. Wednesday – rest – no running, cross training or lifting. Thursday – easy run outside – 5 miles pushing single stroller – 7:46 avg – admittedly I was probably running too fast on this run but it was a good confidence booster and I believe that sometimes a workout I HAVE BECOME THAT GIRL…. W&OD TRAIL: THE CHANGE OF A CONSTANT I feel compelled to write today. Writing is how I process emotions. I want to let the emotions out, sit with them for a little, and then put my big girl pants on and move forward. It took 7 miles t I WAS CHASED DOWN BY A CAR WHILE RUNNING Yesterday was the first official day of summer break for Chloe – it also meant that it was Day 1 of triple stroller summer training. I set off with a heaviness in my legs but tried to have happiness in myheart.

TGIF & MORE TOKYO TRAINING The first sentence of a blog post feels the hardest. Where do you start when there is too much to say? “You can’t be that kid standing at the top of the waterslide, overthinking it. You have to go down the chute.” ― Tina Fey Last week I made a mid-week decision to skip speed work in favor of running a 10K race. I figured since it was a step back week that while my legs wouldn't be fresh, they also wouldn't feel completely dead. Ran my long run of 14 miles on Friday, took …

MUSIC TO RUN TO #3
I started this weekly post, on songs I was enjoying, last year and then made it a whopping two posts before taking an extended leave of absence from the blog. I’m reviving it with the promise of posting more than twice in 2020 Today’s five songs are remixes I’ve been enjoying while training for AbbottCategories: Music ,

A FEW THINGS I'M DOING TO STAY INJURY FREE Finished up last week with 63 miles in 6 days (63.6 – complete coincidence on the numbers)! I don’t think I’ve strung together four SOLID weeks of training in over two years – probably longer – I should go back and look. To say I’m happy is an understatement. 2019 was REALLY great for a Categories: Abbott World Marathon Majors,

MARATHON TRAINING: #45 Happy Friday! This is what my week of running looked like: Monday – Rest Day. My children were off for the MLK holiday so it ended up working out well that it was a rest day. My kids are at an age where all they seem to do is bicker, so we headed to theCategories: Running

BOSTON MARATHON 2019 & MY GO TO BREAKFAST Sponsored conversation by Almond Breeze It’s hard to believe it’s been almost two months since I finished my 41st marathon, Boston Marathon. The month after a marathon is always a mix of of bliss and sadness for me. I’m happy that the experience happened but always really sad it’s over. That sounds crazy when I write itCategories: Running

SO WHAT? I STILL RAN Today’s run felt harder than it should have. As I was distracting myself from thinking about how it was just a meh run, I thought about how so much of running is truly brain training. Yes we have to train the physical body but if you don’t train the mind, the physical bodygives up
