WATER GARDENING
Water is the sustainer of life. In the harsh desert climates, a water garden serves to draw wildlife and create a point of serenity. It can take many forms, from a simple fountain made from a large pot, to a pondless waterfall recirculating along a ridge, to a koi pond where the water is fed over a waterfall and along a stream to feed the pond.SHADE TREES
Shade Trees - Magic Garden Nursery and Landscape. It is easy to spot folks that have spent a lot of time in Arizona. When looking for a parking spot in the summer time, they head for a shady spot under a tree. According the the Arizona Community Tree Council, the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. And today is the second best time. ROSES - MAGIC GARDEN NURSERY AND LANDSCAPE Roses are an excellent choice for Tucson's relatively dry climate. However they do like a more acid soil than occurs naturally in Tucson. The solution: grow them in containers with quality soils like 'Black Gold' and the FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil. They do well in the ground if peat moss or a high quality TROPICAL AND EXOTIC FRUITS The Strawberry Guava is hardier to the cold than the common guava and will fruit if sheltered from freezes. The Lemon Guava is a slightly larger tree with fruit that is yellow skinned. Kiwifruit: A fast growing deciduous vine, with large, green fuzzy leaves. The fruit is about the size and shape of an egg.
