WASHING HAIR BEFORE SURGERY? I'm getting a breast augmentation in a few days and I got sent these instructions: Page 1 of 1 PRE-OPERATIVE SHOWERING INSTRUCTIONS: We are taking steps to reduce the chance of infection after surgery. Washing with a special soap reduces the number of germs on your skin. Your surgeon has asked that you follow the instructions below to clean your skin before your surgery. WEIRD GRAY STUFF ON MY COMB A horn comb needs to have Lanolin Oil applied to replace moisture, or if left overly dry, in time, the horn comb will fizzure crack. Apply the lanolin to a paper towel, a few dots of it -- then rub the paper towel a bit to smear the lanolin oil into a patch. THEN rub the comb. You will see the shine come back. ROOT TOUCH UP OR DYE WHOLE HEAD? When I first dyed my hair, it covered all my grey hair and the color was pretty. After that I just touched up my roots and combed dye through the rest of my hair for the last 10 minutes. The last time I did this, it didn't cover greys well and the color is a little dull. That was in March. I have to dye my hair again and was thinking of dyeing my whole head this time instead of just roots. USING ARGAN OIL FOR GRAY/WHITE HAIR I wanted to share my recent experience with argan oil. I read so many good reviews about argan oil so I purchased "One 'n' Only"Argan Oil from Sally's. My dry, gray hair loved it. It was smooth, shiny, and silky and I got many compliments. Then one day about 6 weeks later, I noticed my usual silvery white hair was turning a dingy yellow color. WHAT TO DO WITH A CONDITIONER THAT'S TOO THICK? Re: What to do with a conditioner that's too thick? Yep, dilute it with water. Maybe a little bit at a time though, otherwise it might go off - the preservatives in the original conditioner probably won't be enough for the extra water. Edit: I meant a small amount ofconditioner at a

However, most of the curliness is on the bottom layer of my hair - the top part just remains wavy at best, and stringy/gross at worst. I've tried plopping and straight-up air drying, and it doesn't seem to matter. I'm thinking maybe the top part doesn't curl as well because it is more damaged? IDEAS NEEDED FOR A HOMEMADE CREACLIP :) Hi, I'm thinking about making a homemade self-trimming devise. The CreaClip is ~$30 not including shipping, so besides Feye's trimming method I'm looking for an alternative inexpensive device to create a nice U shape. Ideas I've come up with so far are 1) looking for 2 pieces of slighty curved plastic, maybe from an arts and crafts store or Home Depot:p attaching hair friendly fabric to it ZOTE SOAP FOR HAIR WASHING!!! This may not be in the correct place but I don't think of it as a mainstream hair product or an 'herbal' one so mods sorry if this is the wrong place :) Anyway in the past I have tried using Zote soap for shampoo. I got pretty good results, however recently I tried it again and used a slightly stronger vinegar rinse this time and got very goodresults!!!
