T he Duncan family has owned the Diamond Tail Ranch since 1979. In 1986, Mike Duncan, the family’s managing partner, introduced Buffalo to the ranch. BEER CAN SLOW COOKER BISON POT ROAST RECIPE Sear pot roast using tongs to flip until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove skillet from heat and transfer pot roast to slow cooker. Surround with carrots, garlic, shallot, and mushrooms. Return the skillet to heat over medium and add flour to skillet. Instructions. Combine ground bison, egg, cayenne, celery onion and crackers in a bowl. Form mixture into 4 patties. Brown bison patties on both sides. Place the bison patties in a shallow baking dish. Then mix together the mushroom soup and water and pour the mixture over the bison patties. Cover and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350degrees.
BISON CHILI
Optional Step: add onions to bison and cook until tender. In a large pot (or Crock Pot) add the ground bison, onions, tomatoes, chili beans, kidney beans, ketchup, garlic, cilantro, chili powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, thyme and powdered mustard. Stir to combine. Simmer at medium heat on stove top (or in Crock Pot on low heat) forat
BISON STRIP STEAKS RECIPE WITH CHIMICHURRI SAUCE Season strip steaks with 1 teaspoon salt and ½ pepper. Lightly oil grill. Grill strip steaks for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side for medium. About 3 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let rest for about 5 minutes. Slice each steak across the grain and drizzle with chimichurri sauce. BLACK AND BLUE BISON BURGER RECIPE Set aside. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, open buns and place on the grill about 2 to 3 minutes to toast. Set aside. Oil grill and add the onion slices. Grill on both sides until grill marks form and the onion is slightly softened, about 8 minutes total. Transfer to a plate and set aside. BISON Q&A - LONE PEAK BISON The scientific name is “bison”, but “buffalo” has commonly been used for many years in North America.
