A lot of people wonder how we manage to afford traveling to Europe so often. Here are a few of our suggestions about saving for a trip: 1. This may seem obvious, but you have to make travel a priority. That means, for most of us, sacrificing other comforts or goods to save for a trip. ANCIENT HIDDEN TUNNEL UNKNOWN EVEN TO THE LOCALS Zeneba’s thoughts on walking a little-known, ancient and dark Etruscan tunnel, under a hillside in the Umbrian countryside. Spoiler alert: It’s scary. LITTLE ROADS ON CBS SUNDAY MORNING During the 2020 coronavirus lockdown in Italy, we were confined to our little apartment for months. Luckily we have a lovely view of our town from our little balcony, so we decided to do a nightly performance in hopes of lifting spirits in our town. We ended up doing 62 concerts ina row before rest
12 QUIRKY MUSEUMS IN NORTHERN ITALY 9. Forest Museum - Badia Prataglia, Tuscany. This little mountain town was settled as the home of an ancient order of monks – their abbey was founded in the 10th century. Next to its ancient church (the only remains of the original abbey) is the entrance to the small but interesting (and free!) Casentino Forest Museum. EGG-YOLK-ONLY POUND CAKE Preparation: Heat oven to 350° F. Butter and flour a 5x9x3-inch loaf pan. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter with sugar until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks until light and lemon colored; blend thoroughly into creamed mixture. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.LITTLE ROADS EUROPE
