Our Program. In partnership with schools we deliver an interactive curriculum based program to Preschools, Primary and Secondary schools. Visiting over 710,000 children every year, we help children achieve the learning outcomes of the Australian Curriculum . Our program is most effective when we work together; Adopting a system-wide approach GROWING GOOD GARDENS GRANTS Growing Good Gardens Grants 2021. Together with Yates, Life Education are encouraging young people to get gardening, growing edible plants and learning healthy eating habits or creating a healthy class room environment with indoor plants. HOW TO TALK ABOUT RESILIENCE TO YOUR CHILD Five ways to help your child adapt to challenges. 1. Read young children stories that demonstrate resilience. The “Little Engine That Could” is an old favourite you can act out with your child’s toys. TEACHING CHILDREN ABOUT CONSENT Consent should be addressed in an age-appropriate way across all years of schooling. Think Twice. Did you know that the average age of experimentation with alcohol is as young as 14 years of age? ‘Think Twice’ helps upper primary students explore a range of issues around the social, legal and physical consequences of alcohol consumption, giving them the knowledge and skills to use if faced with making decisions related to alcohol in the future. CHILDREN AND THE BENEFITS OF FRIENDSHIP For children, making friends is a vital part of growing up and an essential part of their social and emotional development. Attributes such as social competence, altruism, self-esteem, and self-confidence have all been found to be positively correlated to having friends.Studies have found that friendships enable children to learn more about themselves and develop their own identity. BCYBERWISE - LIFE EDUCATION Children today really are digital natives, so it is more crucial than ever that they understand the importance of being safe and respectful whilst learning and having fun online. ‘bCyberwise’ is about cybersafety, cyber security and cyber ethics. This module helps children to develop their knowledge and skills around these threeareas.
HUNTER LIFE EDUCATION CELEBRATES 30 YEARS SUPPORT FROM Hunter Life Education celebrates 30 years support from Markey Insurance Brokers. Markey Insurance Brokers recently kicked off Hunter Life Education’s 30 year celebrations by hosting a golf day at Belmont. Healthy Harold joined Markey staff and stakeholders for a fun day.
