ABOUT - LANE MOTOR MUSEUM The goal of Lane Motor Museum is to share in the mission of collection and preserving automotive history for future generations. The Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Lane Motor Museum is one of the few museums in the U.S. to specialize in European cars. It is a working museum with the goal of maintaining all vehicles in running LANE MOTOR MUSEUM ANTIQUE CARS ACOMA Mini Comtesse-1972. The “L-Category” is a class of cars and mopeds in France that can be driven without a driver’s license. This new category called sans permis (without license), began in the mid 1970s, and ACOMA became a large manufacturer of these modern microcars, taking 30% ofCARS FOR SALE

MERCEDES-BENZ 280S- 1969 This 280S is a gasoline-powered 2.8 liter, M130 inline six-cylinder engine fed by dual carburetors. The M130 produces 140 hp (100 kW) and will push the car to 115 mph. 0-100 is reached in 12.5 seconds. The 2.8 liter inline six by Mercedes-Benz to this day is one of its most proven and reliable engines. The 280S was produced from 1965 through1972.

In the 1970s, the familiar oil giant Exxon also had a sporting goods division named Graftek which produced fishing rods, ski poles, golf clubs, tennis rackets, and bicycles from 1975-1978. MARTIN AERODYNAMIC- 1928 Martin Aerodynamic- 1928. The Martin, despite vigorous promotion, never went beyond three prototypes. Before you is a one-of-a-kind aerodynamic vehicle built by Martin Aircraft Company of Garden City, New York. Martin’s concept was to create a four-seater streamlined car along jaray principles. Notice the pontoon-shaped underbody, fully SIMA-VIOLET CYCLECAR- 1924 Sima-Violet Cyclecar- 1924. This company began under the name “Sicam” in 1912 and produced a small cyclecar. In the early 1920s they began making 98cc engines for attaching to bicycles. By 1924, the company was reformed under the new name for the purpose of making the Sima-Violet. The economical situation and the success of D.A.F. trucks made it possible for Hub Van Doorne to realize his dream of producing a LANE MOTOR MUSEUM ANTIQUE CARS Almost as a hobby, in 1977 Guy Duport built a prototype, first-of-its-kind diesel-powered microcar. It was a small car with a plastic body and 2 doors, equipped with a 510cc (about 31 cu. in.) Lombardini diesel engine. SEAB (Societe d'Exploitation et d'Application des Brevet) was perhaps best-known as the manufacturer of the plastic bodies used on Citroën's Mehari, but they later became a manufacturer of vehicules sans permis, or "unlicensed" microcars - cars MARTIN STATIONETTE-1950 Martin Stationette-1950. James V. Martin was a prolific inventor who spent years designing cars that he hoped someone would be willing to produce. The Stationette in front of you is his last attempt. The “L-Category” is a class of cars and mopeds in France that can be driven without a driver’s license. This new category called sans permis (without license), began in the mid 1970s, and ACOMA became a large manufacturer of these modern microcars, taking 30% of LANE MOTOR MUSEUM ANTIQUE CARS D.A.F. is a Dutch company that began in the late 1920s as a garage. After WWII, the company started manufacturing commercial vehicles. The economical situation and the success of D.A.F. trucks made it possible for Hub Van Doorne to realize his dream of producing a LANE MOTOR MUSEUM ANTIQUE CARS Almost as a hobby, in 1977 Guy Duport built a prototype, first-of-its-kind diesel-powered microcar. It was a small car with a plastic body and 2 doors, equipped with a 510cc (about 31 cu. in.) Lombardini diesel engine.
