The best damn forum, period. JD Themed Build Off JerzeeDevil's 2017 Halloween Build Off. This is your chance to make a serious contribution to the forum, and to OPINIONS ON RYWORX OMEME? It feel very solid in the hand. In terms of flippablity, I'm still an amateur but it's awesome. The only thing I might say is sort of annoying is the handle bias, but that's why Ryworx sells the aluminum spacers. If you get the Omeme and the AL spacers, then there's no reason not to. Apr 30, 2018 #3. ATROPOS KNIVES QUALITY? 47. 42. 18. I'm looking for people who have personal experience with these knives, to give me their honest opinions of the build quality including blade quality and, fit and finish. I'm thinking about acquiring full size and micro Demons, any help and info would be muchappreciated.
HEIBEL VALOR
43. I like my Valor, moreso than the full custom Heibel I have (the Valor feels more "solid"). The bearings are very smooth similar feel to a monarch though a bit faster. It flips well enough for me though I am admittedly more of a collector than flipper. Price wise I do think it's a bit expensive and I'd prefer to see it priced more closely toHINDERER NIEVES V3
43. got the Hinderer waiting at home when I got back from work. Nice knife, very sharp and smooth flipper. It does need to break in a bit, but it’s similar to an alpha beast. The guys over at the hollow grind did a great job on the custom anodizing. It’s a nice mint green. I’m really happy with it.EOS TRIDENT
Hey people, Just got the EOS trident in. Initially thought it ran on bushings, but its on bearings. The bearings are incredibly smooth. It can be tuned to swing freely with no tap or rub. The latch itself is very loose fitting but it holds it closed, which is all IMICROTECH SPRINGS!!
In fact many times springs were kinked intentionally due to spring sing/zing which is the noise an otf sometimes will make when firing or retracting. As long as your spring isnt physically broken then any firing or retracting issues are more than likely being caused byPENA MIDTECH BALI
13. Good day Devils, Does anyone have a Pena mid tech Penasong Bali With 4.50” blade, or have handled / flipped one? I would be curious to get your impressions. Are they worth $475.00 compared to other balisongs at that price point. ALT VS STANDARD REP? So whatever one I go with, it will probably end up being a beater. Here's what I know so far: Standard Rep: It's fckin sexy. The tip seems delicate so breaking/bending is a possibility. Has a crowned spine. Alt blade: Tip is more durable, so it can stand up to more of abeating.
RAY RYBAR MASTER SMITH NECK KNIFE I have for sale a Ray Rybar MS neck knife for sale here. Completely unused and never sharpened. Just a fantastic knife with a few very unusual features. First off is the. beautiful custom forged nickel 200 & 1095 damascus its made of. There is no way to describe it, It looks like an oil spill from your car in a puddle, never seen anything likeit.

LOCTITE 222 VS. 243
There are lots of “threads” out there about using Loctite (ha), and many recommend using blue 243 (or the older 242). I am wondering if 222 purple may be better to use instead. Just thinking about this if I ever need to break down the knife, and have read about guys stripping out screws and such. 222 seems better suited for smallerscrews.

TRICK TO SHARPENING D2 The double-edge along with the narrow blade width makes for a larger sharpening angle than a typical knife, which may also contribute to it being hard to sharpen. Use a Sharpee to blacken the edge before you run it across the stone to see if you're getting the angle right. FYI, Troodons and Ultratechs had D2 steel from 2006-2009. 43. got the Hinderer waiting at home when I got back from work. Nice knife, very sharp and smooth flipper. It does need to break in a bit, but it’s similar to an alpha beast. The guys over at the hollow grind did a great job on the custom anodizing. It’s a nice mint green. I’m really happy with it.HEIBEL VALOR
43. I like my Valor, moreso than the full custom Heibel I have (the Valor feels more "solid"). The bearings are very smooth similar feel to a monarch though a bit faster. It flips well enough for me though I am admittedly more of a collector than flipper. Price wise I do think it's a bit expensive and I'd prefer to see it priced more closely to ALT VS STANDARD REP? So whatever one I go with, it will probably end up being a beater. Here's what I know so far: Standard Rep: It's fckin sexy. The tip seems delicate so breaking/bending is a possibility. Has a crowned spine. Alt blade: Tip is more durable, so it can stand up to more of abeating.
MICROTECH SPRINGS!!
In fact many times springs were kinked intentionally due to spring sing/zing which is the noise an otf sometimes will make when firing or retracting. As long as your spring isnt physically broken then any firing or retracting issues are more than likely being caused byEOS TRIDENT
Hey people, Just got the EOS trident in. Initially thought it ran on bushings, but its on bearings. The bearings are incredibly smooth. It can be tuned to swing freely with no tap or rub. The latch itself is very loose fitting but it holds it closed, which is all IACETONE & KYDEX
I've used it a time or two. On tan kydex, a mistake with a Sharpie is easily removed with a little acetone and a clean towel. I work quickly and I've had good results each time. May 31, 2011 #4. OPINIONS ON RYWORX OMEME? It feel very solid in the hand. In terms of flippablity, I'm still an amateur but it's awesome. The only thing I might say is sort of annoying is the handle bias, but that's why Ryworx sells the aluminum spacers. If you get the Omeme and the AL spacers, then there's no reason not to.
MAKING KNIFE BLANKS WITH A PLASMA CUTTER For me I think you have a problem with your plasma cutter. Before I retired I worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and used a plasma cutter on a regular basis. you are right about the tip and quality of the cut, but when its right it should cut like a bandsaw, you should barely have to shape up the edge at all. make sure your ground is good and tip is clean, don't use too much air pressure HOW OFTEN DOES BRS RESTOCK? (REPLICANT) this is just my opinion but my replicant was worth the wait. it flips great and all screws had Loctite applied. I flip mine everyday and not one screw has come loose. your experience may vary but I love the feel of the knife overall. if you keep an eye on the replicant thread here and the brs instagram/facebook accounts youll be able to get one. they sell out really fast because brs is a small SANDY "THE MASTER CRAFTSMAN" MORRISSEY His holster was black and he had a chess knight on the holster as well as on his business card.
