JUDAS' DEATH AND ITS TIMING Furthermore this places the timing of Judas’ death after the resurrection and after he had seen the raised Lord. Further evidence regarding the presence of Judas after the resurrection is given by the gospel records of two of the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. 2. Jesus’ appearance "at the evening of the first day of the week". 1 PETER 3:19 : THE SPIRITS IN PRISON To conclude therefore: when in I Peter 3:19 we read that Jesus went and preached to the spirits in prison, we should not read into it dead people living in a prison, without resurrection, and Jesus going to them to preach the good news. What the Word of God is speaking in I Peter 3:19 is not about dead people but about spirits, angelic beings BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT We now, after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection and receiving the gift of the holy spirit, we are no longer just body and soul but body, soul and spirit. 1. The same word, phuchicos (soul man, a man of body and soul) is also used in I Corinthians 15:44, 46, James 3:15 and Jude 19. THE SHORTEST WAY IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST WAY The shortest way is not always the best way - Exodus 13:17-18. We all know more or less the story of the Israelites. It took them 40 years to enter the promised land, in a trip that shouldn’t normally last more than a few weeks. As we may also know, almost all the delay was due to their own disobedience. WE SERVE A RISEN SAVIOR! We serve a risen Savior! It was nearly three days and three nights after the crucifixion. The body of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah, was laid in a tomb outside Jerusalem, near the place He was crucified. They had anointed it with a lot of perfumes and dressed itwith nice clothes.
"BUT KNOWLEDGE PUFFS UP" "But knowledge puffs up" „Puffed up”. What comes to my mind with these words is a big bubble with nothing inside other than just air. It grows and grows but only on the outside and just a little prick is enough to make it collapse and come down to nearly zero. “MEN ALWAYS OUGHT TO PRAY AND NOT LOSE HEART” (LUKE 18:1) “Men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1) In Luke 18 we read: Luke 18:1-8 "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, "Get justice for mefrom my adversary."

I got some time ago a question from a reader concerning the passage of I Peter 3:19. Let’s read this passage together with verses 18 and 20: THE SHORTEST WAY IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST WAY Does God has a plan for your life? The answer is YES. This article uses Exodus 13:17-18 to demonstrate how God directed His people, for their good, through a longer way out of Egypt. God has a plan for your life and His plan for you is the best. It may not be what you have planned but it is what HE has planned for your good and it is thebest.
