PLANNING - IRELAND STOLE MY HEART Firstly, Ireland drives on the left side of the road which is the opposite of what we are used to in North America. Secondly, most cars in Ireland are standard, not automatic. Renting an automatic car in Ireland is possible but will cost significantly more. Thirdly, many of Ireland’s roads are very narrow and winding. LAYOVER IN DUBLIN? HERE’S HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR The final consideration is getting to/from the airport. It’s about 30 minutes each way (depending on traffic) so you will need to allow minimum one hour there as well. The Bernard Shaw is a fun Dublin pub with a pizza bus in the back. Pizzas are 9-14 euro each for a personal sized pizza.
