About. Ikon is an internationally acclaimed art gallery situated in central Birmingham. Housed in a magnificent neo-gothic school building, it is an educational charity and works to encourage public engagement with contemporary art through exhibiting new work in a context of debate and participation. Ikon welcomes adult learners and has workshops, short courses and masterclasses suitable for all levels of ability. Our regular programme of talks, round table discussions and open conversations with exhibiting artists offers unique insight into exhibited work.LEARNING | IKON
Learning is at the heart of Ikon’s aim to provide everyone with access to the visual arts. With our exhibitions changing every 3 months, we provide a unique gallery experience as well as opportunities for further learning and professional development in art practice to our difference audiences.FAMILIES | IKON
Ikon is a family-friendly gallery offering a range of free activities aimed at families and young visitors. Located in the city centre, Ikon is a 15 minute walk from New Street Station and houses a café, shop, baby changing facilities and a lift to all floors.SUPPORT | IKON
Ikon is a charity that depends on the generosity of visitors, patrons and businesses.
