------------------------- Time to switch up your turkey recipe! đ˝ There is no better year than this year to try something new, especially when youâve been using the same turkey recipe for so many years. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, we have the perfect seasonal glaze for you! All your favorite spices come together to fill your kitchen with the scent of the holidays! The ingredient list is short, but your guests will be talking about it for months! Donât forget the gravy! Fig and Cider Glazed Turkey Ingredients: 1 12-14lb fresh whole turkey, cleaned and dried 1 cup fig preserves ½ cup Dijon mustard ½ cup apple cider vinegar Âź cup white wine 1 bunch rosemary 3 shallots, minced 2 cups figs Preparation: 1. Preheat oven to 325°F. 2. Remove giblets and neck from the inside of the turkey. Discard or reserve for gravy if desired. 3. Rub the turkey (inside and out) with ź cup sea salt, and then rinse with cold water. Pat the turkey dry completely both inside and out. 4. Stuff your turkey. Using If You Care Kitchen Twine, secure the wings to the body of the turkey and close the neck and bottom gap. 5. Carefully place the turkey, breast side up, in an If You Care Extra Large Roasting Bag with the seam side up on in a large roasting pan. 6. In a medium bowl, mix together fig preserves, mustard, apple cider vinegar, white wine, rosemary and shallots. 7. Brush the turkey with half the mixture and reserve the other half for later. Add half the fresh figs and more rosemary to the bag. 8. Secure the opening of the Roasting Bag by folding towards the top of the turkey and roast for 3 hours. 9. Carefully cut or rip the top of the Roasting Bag to expose the turkey. Use extreme caution, as the steam will be very hot. 10. Brush the turkey with the remaining fig and cider glaze and place the turkey back in the oven until desired brownness or until your meat thermometer reaches 165°F. 11. Carefully remove the turkey from the Roasting Bag by lifting and let it rest on a cutting board or platter for at least 20 minutes. 12. While the turkey is resting, you can reserve some of the drippings in the Roasting Bag to use for gravy before composting the bag. Enjoy!đŚ

------------------------- đŚ Turkey Day is near and while dessert may not be the star of the show, pie might just be OUR favorite part! Check out our easy as 𼧠Lattice Apple Pie recipe here for a simple yet elegant addition to your Thanksgiving dinner! . . . . Lattice Apple Pie Ingredients: 6 apples, peeled and sliced thinly   Juice of 1 lemon   ž cup granulated sugar Âź tsp cinnamon Âź tsp nutmeg  Ÿ tsp salt 1 tbsp flour 2 premade pie crusts,  defrosted (we used a gluten free pie crust) 2 egg yolks, beaten   Preparation: 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2.Place apples in a medium bowl, then toss with the lemon juice and set aside. 3.In a small bowl, stir together sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and flour, then sprinkle over apples, then set aside. 4.Line an If You Care Paper Cake and Pie Pan with one of the sheets of pie crust and pour in apples. Alternatively, you can cut a sheet of If You Care Parchment Paper into a circle that fits into the bottom of a ceramic pie pan so that your pie crust wonât stick to the bottom.  5.Lay the other sheet of pie dough on a cutting board and carefully use a very sharp knife to cut the sheet into 8ths. 6.Lay half the strips evenly over the pie in the same direction, then weave in the second half perpendicular through the first strips.  Pinch the edges of both crusts together to seal, then brush egg yolk over the entire crust.  7.Bake for about one hour or until crust looks like a dark golden brown. Sweet Potato Toasts Yield: 6-8 Toasts Ingredients: 2-3 large sweet potatoes Olive oil If You Care Parchment Baking Paper Optional topping combinations: Peanut butter & berries Yogurt & berries SautĂŠed mushrooms & thyme Sunnyside up eggs Preparation: 1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F or 218 degrees C 2. Line a baking sheet with If You Care Parchment Baking Paper. 3. Using a sharp knife, carefully slice sweet potatoes about 1/2-inch thick, going down the longest part of the potato. Be very careful when slicing. Alternatively, you can buy frozen sweet potato slices from the brand Caulipower in the frozen aisle of the supermarket. 4. Rub potato slices with olive oil and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. 5. Bake for 12-15 minutes per side, or until toasted on the outside and tender inside. 6. In under an hour, you can have the most delicious âsandwichâ weâve seen on this side of the Atlantic. And if youâve got extras, donât you worry. These tomatoes taste incredible folded into scrambled eggs, plopped on top of pasta, or enjoyed straight out of the baking dish đ Oven Roasted Tomato Tartine Yield: 2 Large Tartines Ingredients: 2 very thick slices country-style or sourdough bread 1-pint cherry tomatoes 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil Âź cup soft goat cheese or Boursin cheese Flaky salt Black pepper If You Care Parchment Baking Paper Preparation: 1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F or 218 degrees C 2. Line a small baking dish or baking pan with If You Care Parchment Baking Paper. 3. Add tomatoes and olive oil. 4. Bake for 40 minutes, or until soft and jammy. The tomato skin should be wrinkled and the fruit inside should be very tender. 5. When the tomatoes are ready, toast both slices of bread. 6. Spread toast generously with goat cheese, then top with warm (not hot) roasted tomatoes. 7. Sprinkle with flaky salt and fresh pepper. 8. Enjoy immediately! Mulled Cider & Brandy Cocktail Cider and sachet: 1 gallon apple cider  1 cinnamon stick, crushed  2 tsp whole cloves 1 tbsp allspice 2 tbsp dried orange peel 1 tsp cardamom pods 1 whole nutmeg 1 tsp peppercorns Cocktail: 1 cup mulled apple cider, cooled 1 tsp honey 1 oz bourbon whiskey  1 slice orange  1 cinnamon sticks for garnishing Fresh sage leaves, rubbed Preparation: 1.Combine mulling spices in a small bowl or jar, then add about 2 tbsp to a doubled square of If You Care Cheesecloth and tie with a small piece of If You Care Twine.  2.Add Cheesecloth sachet to a large pot with cider and heat until simmering and fragrant (about 5 minutes or more if you would like a more intense taste).   Remove sachet and cool mulled cider in the fridge.  3.Add ice to a rocks glass, then pour cider over.
