The Apprentice Program is taking an intermission to improve, enhance, and redevelop the program after a decade of spotlighting emerging theatre artists and artisans. Who is to blame for an unhappy marriage? Some might blame one or the other of the married people. Perhaps both. Others could blame the law that bound them together. Or outdated marital traditions. Synopsis. The play opens just after the funeral of Floyd “Schoolboy” Barton in the Hill District of Pittsburgh in 1948. Floyd Barton was a talented blues guitarist who was on the verge of signing a deal with a record company in Chicago when he was killed. LYNN NOTTAGE ON RUINED Lynn Nottage on. Ruined. Six years ago, I traveled to East Africa to interview Congolese women fleeing the armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). CIRCLES, MIRRORS, TRANSFORMATIONS: ACTING EXERCISES AND Circle Mirror Transformation, as described by Elizabeth Swados. (Her version is called "Sound and Movement"): Aim: To make movement and sound one intention Going around the circle, each student in turn introduces a repeated movement for a part of the body.
