Although England is the poor relation in respect of the highest mountains on the British Mainland there are still over 200 which reach over 2,000 feet (610 metres) in height. WALKS IN THE LAKE DISTRICT Tarn Hows. 2.6. A family friendly walk to the most visited Tarn in the Lake District, one of Victorian design. Cat Bells and Little Town. 3.3. Probably the most climbed hill in all of the Lake District. This way up is the best. Ambleside, Loughrigg Fell, Loughrigg Tarn and Skelwith Bridge. 3.4. WALKS IN THE SWALEDALE AREA OF THE YORKSHIRE DALES Aysgarth Falls. 2.2. One of the Yorkshire Dales premier family walks to the most breathtaking series of waterfalls. Keld & the River Swale Waterfalls. 2.5. This walk centered on Keld in Upper Swaledale is a delight for waterfall lovers. There are four to see. Richmond, Hudswell Woods and River Swale. 3.0. WALKS IN THE COTSWOLDS 4.7. Painswick is known as the queen of the Cotswolds, an apt title. The walk starts here and visits an Iron Age hillfort. Uley, Nympsfield and Frocester Hill. 4.8. This walk is full of interest for fans of neolithlic antiquaries. It also takes us to Frocester Hill, scene ofwide ranging views.

A spectacular Shropshire walk with fantastic woodland and views to rival those of many higher mountains. Shropshire Way: Grindley Brook to Wem. 10.6. Includes Grindley Brook, Whitchurch, Hadley, Hollinwood, Whixall, Edstaston and Wem. Shropshire Way: WEST BURTON AND AYSGARTH FALLS WATERFALLS WALK OL30 Yorkshire Dales Northern and Central. Summary: This walk is a very nice short stroll, even if in the depths of winter as it was here. The obvious highlight is Aysgarth Falls but West Burton waterfall is a good excuse in itself. Set in a natural amphitheater the waterfall is one of the best inspirational places in theWensleydale area.
