Reykjavík Pride. 3.-. 8. August 2021. This colourful event brings tens of thousands of people into the city centre every year to show solidarity and to have fun with the LGBTQ community in Reykjavik. People of all genders, friends, relatives, and a fast growing number of tourists, all come together to celebrate and support universalhuman rights.
THE CITY CARD
The Reykjavík City Card is the easiest and most inexpensive way to experience our favorite city! The Reykjavík City Card offers free entry to a great selection of museums and galleries, all swimming pools in Reykjavík, and free unlimited travel by bus within the Reykjavik Capital Area. VIKING FESTIVAL HAFNARFJÖRÐUR Viking Festival Hafnarfjörður. The Viking Festival is planned to take place from the 12th to 15th of August 2021 but might be canceled with short notice due to uncontrollable circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hafnarfjörður town hosts the annual Viking Festival, which is the oldest and biggest festival of its kind in Iceland. REYKJAVÍK BOTANICAL GARDEN Reykjavík Botanical Garden. The Botanic Garden is an outdoor collection of living plants. It was founded in 1961 and is run by the City of Reykjavík. EVENING WALKS
Halla Margrét Jóhannesdóttir, a Public Engagement Project Manager at Reykjavík Art Museum, will give a guided tour of the public artwork in Perlufestin, a women’s sculpture park in Hljómskálagarður Park. The tour starts at the Landnámskonan sculpture near the street Bjarkargata. Participation is free. We kindly ask everyone to register for each walk, and everybody iswelcome.
