Curatorial. The curatorial team look after MIMA’s exhibition programme and the art collection. The team members come from a range of backgrounds and interests but share a passion for bringing the best of modern and contemporary art to our audience in Middlesbrough as well as ensuring that the collection becomes a well used and lovedresource.
MIDDLESBROUGH SETTLEMENT The Middlesbrough Settlement is part of the Tees Valley Combined Authority’s Great Places scheme, funded by the Heritage Lottery Foundation. VIVA TALBOT STEEL MAKING Viva Talbot Steel Making. 16 July 2010 - 14 November 2010. Steel Making contains 15 woodblock prints of scenes from local venues made by Viva Talbot in the 1930s. Viva Talbot (1900-1983) was the daughter of Benjamin Talbot, Managing Director of both the Cargo Fleet Iron Company and the South Durham Steel and Iron Company. Viva Talbot wasMIGRATION STUDY DAY

FOUNDATION PRESS, NOTES ON THE BLACK PATH Artists Foundation Press have spent the past year working with people in South Bank, Middlesbrough. Their artwork ‘Notes On The Black Path’, located along the public footpath off Old Station Road, is a large collage celebrating the historical route known as ‘The Black Path’ and the nearby community of South Bank.
