We began in 1867 as Eastfield Home of Benevolence, a San Jose orphanage, and Ming Quong Home, an orphanage for neglected and abandoned Chinese girls. OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES Outpatient Mental Health Services are clinic-based, and community-based treatment services using evidence-based practices, offered at home and school, for individual children and adolescents with serious emotional disorders and for family members in crisis. It helps children and their families alleviate suffering, recover fromtrauma, restore
ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program provides intensive mental health services to youth 10-18 years of age with severe mental health/substance abuse issues. These youth are at risk for greater hospitalization or homelessness and may be experiencing their first onset of a serious mental health condition.
