HELP SUPPORT ROHINGYA WOMEN AFFECTED BY RECENT FIRE Help support Rohingya women affected by recent fire. On March 22, 2021, a devastating fire broke out in three Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar killing 11 refugees and leaving more than 10,000 households without shelter. Typically, they are young, with limited education, and live in developing countries. It has been well documented that working conditions across garment industries are in much need of improvement. Yet these jobs areimportant.

More than two million women are war widows and even larger numbers are de facto heads of households. The female illiteracy rate is 85% and maternal mortality rates are among the highest in the world. On March 22, 2021, a devastating fire broke out in three Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar killing 11 refugees and leaving more than 10,000 households without shelter.
