Hello and welcome. I’m Angie Holden! Blogger and creator behind The Country Chic Cottage. For over a decade, I have been sharing Cricut tutorials and craft ideas here as well as on my YouTube channel. My passions include teaching others to be creative and learning as many new things as possible. BLEACHING SHIRTS FOR SUBLIMATION AND HTV I have actually played around with bleaching shirts several times so I wanted to do a comparison of different methods for you. I am using sublimation, HTV, and even some masking techniques so that literally ANYONE can have a bleached shirt in their life!Grab your bleach bottle and get started creating unique shirts that are perfect for you and togive as gifts.
CRICUT MAKER 3: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW First, the machine itself is a light powder blue and that is the only color available at this time. Pull up the top lid to reveal an inside that looks fairly similar to the Maker you are used to. You will note that the carriage now says “Cricut Maker 3” across it. SUBLIMATION FOR BEGINNERS: YOUR GUIDE TO GETTING STARTED Sublimation needs polyester or a poly-coating to react with to make it permanent. Therefore, you will need to find appropriate blanks for your projects. I usually recommend a fabric that is at least 75% polyester. As far as other types of blanks, you can find glass, metal, and so much more that has a polyester coating. YOUR ULTIMATE GUIDE TO ICC PROFILES FOR SUBLIMATION But once you install it, it will be ready for use. Now we will need to tell our printer to use this profile. First, open up your printing preferences dialogue box. There should be an area that says “color correction” and it is most likely set to automatic. This is the CRICUT FOR DUMMIES: THE ONE HOUR CRASH COURSE For Cricut Joy, there is both 4.5 x 6.5 inches and 4.5 x 12 inches as well as a special mat for cut and folded cards. You can see more about the card mat here. Note that there are only blue and green mats for the Joy. For the Explore and Maker, you can get 12 x DIY PHOTO MUGS WITH SUBLIMATION AND CRICUT MUG PRESS Add the mug to the press and close the lever. Remember that mug press heats itself to the right temperature and has a built in timer. There is no need to set a time and temperature on this press. It will beep when it is done. Once done, remove the mug from the press and put on aheat resistant mat.
HOW TO ENGRAVE WOOD WITH A CRICUT MAKER First, stain the front of each piece and allow that to dry. Be sure to get down into the engraving lines and stain the sides as well. Wipe on your stain, allow to sit a few seconds, and remove any excess with a rag. Once your first side is dry, turn over each piece and stain the back in the same manner.
