‘The Simple Life’ by Karen Cantuq from Mexico is a wonderful and mockingly playful composition incongruously placing a posing Astronaut in a monochromatic and featureless field with two sheep sitting impassively in this otherworldly figure’s presence. The complexity of the spaceman’s gear, built to sustain life in the most hostile environment imaginable to humans, set against such CENTRAL PARK DUPLEX, NEW YORK The 3,741 square-foot (348 sq.meter) residence is both a showcase and a home. The entry floor includes the foyer, two living rooms (formal and informal) and kitchen. At the back of the apartment on this floor are the three children’s bedrooms, two bathrooms and a media room. The most stunning feature of the first floor is the white curving COWES BAY RESIDENCE, WAIHEKE ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND Cowes Bay Residence, Waiheke Island, New Zealand. A family-owned piece of land on Waiheke Island had long been the family’s favourite hiking spot. Taking the 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland’s central city terminal, the family arrived at Waiheke’s ferry terminal year after year to shake off their busy city lives and truly relax. YTL RESIDENCE, KUALA LUMPUR Paris-based Agence Jouin Manku took on its first large-scale integrated architectural and interior design commission in 2003, when YTL Design Group from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, invited it to design the residence of a Malaysian power family. Completed in the latter part of 2008, the residence is the ultimate expression of the taste, influence and industrial-scale capabilities of the prominent PUBLIC HALL, CO-WORKING SPACE, WESTMINSTER, LONDON, UK In London, Huckletree has created its fifth London co-working space for 250 members. This one is focused specifically on GovTech, bringing together a community of startups, investors and innovators transforming public services. It is called PUBLIC Hall and it was created in partnership with a leading GovTech venture firm PUBLIC thatis also

In this newest work, a continuation on the theme of that penultimate symbol of wealth and status, the luxury pool, Colonna has created an Escher-esque tropical fantasy replete with stairs ascending and descending to everywhere,and nowhere.

Taking the 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland’s central city terminal, the family arrived at Waiheke’s ferry terminal year after year to shake off their busy city lives and truly relax. ‘The Simple Life’ by Karen Cantuq from Mexico is a wonderful and mockingly playful composition incongruously placing a posing Astronaut in a monochromatic and featureless field with two sheep sitting impassively in this otherworldly figure’s presence. The complexity of the spaceman’s gear, built to sustain life in the most hostile environment imaginable to humans, set against such CENTRAL PARK DUPLEX, NEW YORK The 3,741 square-foot (348 sq.meter) residence is both a showcase and a home. The entry floor includes the foyer, two living rooms (formal and informal) and kitchen. At the back of the apartment on this floor are the three children’s bedrooms, two bathrooms and a media room. Green is in. In more ways than one. We are seeing more plants and greenery in designer homes, hotels, restaurants, offices and public spaces than ever before. We are seeing them both inside and outside. It could be that the simple reason for this is that smoking is no longer allowed in public spaces in many countries and therefore plants can actually survive better indoors, but we doubt it.
