We are especially committed to offering this opportunity to individuals from communities underrepresented on museum staffs and who are interested in building careers in art and cultural institutions. PRAYER TO THE IYAMI BY PATRISSE CULLORS Prayer to the Iyami is a love letter to Los Angeles and, most importantly, a loving prayer for Patrisse Cullors's brother, Monte. James Baldwin is heard speaking of the American Negro crisis, and Cullors reads the Yes on R ballot measure she initiated to reform L.A. jails. Wings made from her brother Monte’s used clothes are a symbolof the

Black Flowers is an early work by Roy Lichtenstein - a very famous artist known for his color-rich pop art paintings inspired by comic book panels. And you can see his most famous technique being developed in this work. In the background are lots of small, hand-painted spots.
