One summer night in 1970, two tornadoes cut a seven-mile swath from downtown Lubbock to the airport. While several large-scale civic projects emerged in their wake, much of the city’s RICHTER ARCHITECTS-DESIGNED ROCKPORT CENTER FOR THE ARTS Richter Architects-Designed Rockport Center for the Arts Breaks Ground. On August 25, 2017, communities along the Gulf Coast were forever changed by the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. The category four storm made landfall in Aransas County, where winds up to 132 mph damaged nearly every structure in sight — including thebeloved

This 3,700-sf multipurpose space overlooks 3.5 acres of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers within the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The glass-encased pavilion is equipped with a chef-designed demonstration kitchen, an audiovisual room, assembly space, and restrooms to accommodate a variety of OVERLAND AND MEGAMORPHOSIS DESIGN NEW EDUCATIONAL CENTER A collaboration between San Antonio-based Overland Partners and local firm Megamorphosis has culminated in the design of an environmental center respectful of the unique history, culture, and ecology of McAllen.
