Swords in Stone. Three enormous bronze swords stand monument to the battle of Hafrsfjord in the year 872, when Harald Hårfagre (Fairheaded Harald) united Norway into one kingdom. Fargegaten - The Colorful Street. In the midst of Stavanger you can find one of the most popular attractions: the street called "Fargegaten". It is a pedestrian street with wooden houses painted in bright colors. Although the street is believed to have a history dating back to the Middle Ages, all the houses were destroyed in afire in 1860.

The Iron Age Farm (Jernaldergården) at Ullandhaug consists of three wooden buildings with roofs made of peat and bark. The exterior walls were covered with stones to keep out the cold. In 2016 more than 250 000 tourists visited Pulpit Rock. The original name of the rock formation is "Hyvlatonnå" - which means the tooth of awoodplane.
