Via Mindset: The New Psychology of Success: “In the fixed mindset, everything is about the outcome. GAIN AND LOSS FRAMING A gain-frame is when you frame a message focused on the positive outcome. A loss-frame is when you focus on the costs or the loss, such as opportunity cost. The key thing to keep in mind is that we do more to avoid pain, than to seek gain, and that we prefer more certain outcomes than uncertain alternatives. 5 CONVERSATIONS TO HAVE WITH YOUR BOSS 5 Conversations with Your Boss. If there's one place where your ability to pave a path forward gets tested, it's driving projects. On sizable projects, the gap between your project vision and current reality can be overwhelming.
