MY PERSONAL MILK PAINT REVIEW AND SOME TIPS AND TRICKS Which brings me to. Tip 2 Don’t despair too soon. Keep working at it, milk paint goes through many ugly stages before the ugly duckling turns into a beautiful swan. As I learned later, it is recommended to cover a dark colored wood, with a darker milk paint first before going all light colored on it.*
