WATER AND CLIMATE
THE CLIMATE CRISIS IS A WATER CRISIS. To tackle the climate crisis, we must understand how it is intrinsically linked to changes in the water cycle. We need to prepare ourselves for a future with more severe droughts and floods, with more unpredictable rainfall patterns and dramatically rising sea levels. Our best chance is to focus on smart, water-related solutions that build resilient societies and ecosystems whilst cutting greenhouse gas emissions and improving carbon storage. This is the next generation of climate solutions.Read more
Cross-cutting Issues CROSS-CUTTING ISSUES Cross-cutting issues accelerate our efforts to achieve a water wise world and augment the chances of successful outcomes of all the work we do. They are transformative not only for water governance, but for society at large and its aspirations to eradicate poverty, and give our actions additional impact, engagement and sustainability. They are integral parts of our value system.Read more
Improved Water Governance IMPROVED WATER GOVERNANCE Our goal is to contribute to integrated, transparent and participatory governance processes, as cornerstones to ensure the sustainable and equitable use of water resources and to expand the delivery of clean water supply and sanitation services to all.Read more

By remaining a neutral advisory body, SIWI is able to keep its focus on water issues and not be influenced by politicalaffiliations.
