2020 SCOTCH WHISKY EXPORTS Scotch Whisky exports to the US were valued at £1.07bn in 2019 – the industry’s first billion pound market. In 2020, exports of Scotch Whisky to the US fell by 32%, or £340m. Since the 25% tariff was imposed in October 2019, Scotch Whisky exports to the US have fallen 35% or £542m. 2020 SCOTCH WHISKY EXPORTS Scotch Whisky exports to the US were valued at £1.07bn in 2019 – the industry’s first billion pound market. In 2020, exports of Scotch Whisky to the US fell by 32%, or £340m. Since the 25% tariff was imposed in October 2019, Scotch Whisky exports to the US have fallen 35% or £542m. As a registered "Geographical Indication" (GI) in many overseas markets including the EU, Scotch Whisky is protected from misuse, imitation, evocation and any other practice liable to mislead consumers.SWA COUNCIL
The SWA is governed by a Council of 16 members, elected at its Annual General Meeting.
