LEARN NEW SKILLS * PRACTICE THOSE SKILLS * SHARE YOUR ART! Do you know a young person who loves art, and you want to support them in that passion? Or maybe you just want to help them try something new, but you don’t know where to begin? Or maybe you’re ready to try something new yourself? Don’t worry! You’ve come to the right place! Beginning artists of all ages can learn how to create art, even if they’ve never done it before. Here you’ll find tips, information, and opportunities to help you build their creative confidence! These include lessons, contests, art challenges, and more. My name is Samantha Bell, and as an art
teacher and a mom, I understand the desire to see the children and young people in your life grow in confidence as they work on creative projects. But how do you do that? Learning to draw, paint, and create art is a skill, just like any other skill. If someone decided to play an instrument or a sport, they wouldn’t expect to do it perfectly the first time. They would expect to start at the beginning and then practice what they learn. And they would expect to get better the more they practiced. Art is the sameway.
The problem is, you’re not sure how to get your young artist started learning those skills. Perhaps there aren’t any art teachers in your area. With COVID-19, many studios have been closed to classes. Maybe individual art instruction is just too expensive right now. While there are lots of free art lessons online, sometimes you find so many that it’s difficult to know where to begin. In fact, it can get downright confusing. That’s why I’ve created this site. You can: * Try different lessons. * Practice what you learn.* Share your art!
Begin the lessons
wherever you feel
comfortable. Start at the very beginning. Start in the middle. Start near the end. My hope is that you’ll soon experience the joy and confidence that comes from creating!LATEST POSTS
