The unforgettable 30-minute program added a sprinkle of magic to the holiday season, featuring New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Tiler Peck as the Sugarplum Fairy, and took guests behind the scenes NEW YORK JUNIOR SESSION New York Junior Session. This week-long, immersive experience at SAB’s headquarters in Manhattan is an excellent introduction to SAB’s training, programs and faculty for serious ballet students between the ages of 10 and 12. AUDITIONS AT SAB
Auditions at SAB. SAB holds summer program auditions at our headquarters in New York City on designated dates in January. Applicants who live closer to one of the cities on the National Audition Tour list are encouraged to attend one of those auditions as space is limited at NYC auditions. SUMMER COURSE IN NYC The School of American Ballet currently plans to hold an in-person, five-week Summer Course. SAB’s faculty consists primarily of current and former New York City Ballet dancers, a number of whom worked directly with the School’s founder, George Balanchine. At all levels of training, they strive to communicate the fine points of classicism that are the foundation of Balanchine’s aesthetic—teaching students to move with HISTORY - SCHOOL OF AMERICAN BALLET - SAB History. Auditions at SAB. SAB holds summer program auditions at our headquarters in New York City on designated dates in January. Applicants who live closer to one of the cities on the National Audition Tour list are encouraged to attend one of those auditions as space is limited at NYC auditions.LEADERSHIP & STAFF
Carrie W. Hinrichs. Executive Director. Carrie W. Hinrichs joined the School of American Ballet (SAB) as Executive Director in September 2017. She brings to SAB more than 20 years of experience in school administration and nonprofit fundraising, as well as a lifelongpassion for ballet.
