TRANSFORMING BUSINESSES THROUGH DESIGN In a project spanning just 18 months, PriestmanGoode was able to deliver a unique design across three cabin classes inspired by the Canadian landscape and the First Nations to create a contemporary look and feel to reflect ‘the most Canadian of Canadian airlines’. The progressive project saw WestJet move from the budget market to being a PG X RCA - SUSTAINABLE MATERIAL LUXURY PG x RCA. Each year, PriestmanGoode teams up with the Royal College of Art in London, to run an industry brief with the MA Textiles course. Extensive ergonomic testing was carried out during the development process to ensure that these new techniques enhance passenger comfort and maximise living space. Weighing 8kg only, the reclining seat is a step change in economyclass seating.

In a project funded by RSSB, PriestmanGoode has developed two innovative seat designs to increase seating capacity on public transport by up to 30% per carriage (based on a standard commuter train). Our partnership began in 2008 and since then, we have worked in close collaboration with CRRC Sifang’s in-house designers and engineers on a great variety of projects around the world, including the CRH380A, the fastest passenger train in the world and the CRH500 high A330 CABIN INTERIORS PriestmanGoode has designed new aircraft cabin interiors for South African Airways’ widebody fleet of A330-300 aircraft. The new aircraft interiors build on the brand identity and design language that PriestmanGoode developed for the airline’s short haul fleet in 2014.
