The Honickman Foundation Teen Photo Program is a free after-school program open to any Philadelphia public high school student. Every student receives 8 months of free and full access to PPAC’s equipment, materials, and expert teaching staff. Each student borrows a DSLR camera to take home for the entire school year. ARTIST LAB – PHILADELPHIA PHOTO ARTS CENTER Artist Lab. The Artist Lab is outfitted with the newest equipment and features available. This includes the latest suite of Adobe software programs, magnetic print viewing walls with temperature-controlled lighting, and a large print table with a rotary paper cutter, suitable for working with large prints. Oh, Snap! is a monthly lecture and workshop series that provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment in which to learn about photography and artistic practice. Tuition. The cost of tuition is $4,995 (includes portfolio reviews with a mentor, academic advising, and assistance with the final exhibition). Tuition can be paid in full or installments. Students will have an opportunity to meet with their mentors for a total of 10 hours during the certificate program. WOMEN’S MOBILE MUSEUM Women’s Mobile Museum. The Women’s Mobile Museum is a collaboration between the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center (PPAC), the South African visual activist Zanele Muholi, and ten Philadelphia artists who identify as women and femmes. Launched in 2018, this ambitious project came at a time when women were re-examining the barriers they face to TEN YEARS – PHILADELPHIA PHOTO ARTS CENTER Philadelphia Photo Arts Center celebrates a decade of Teen Photo with an exhibition of creative works by students from over the years. TEEN PHOTO – PHILADELPHIA PHOTO ARTS CENTER Teen Photo. The Honickman Foundation Teen Photo Program is a free after-school program open to any Philadelphia public high school student. Every student receives 8 months of free and full access to PPAC’s equipment, materials, and expert teaching staff. Each student borrows a DSLR camera to take home for the entire school year. ARTIST LAB – PHILADELPHIA PHOTO ARTS CENTER Artist Lab. The Artist Lab is outfitted with the newest equipment and features available. This includes the latest suite of Adobe software programs, magnetic print viewing walls with temperature-controlled lighting, and a large print table with a rotary paper cutter, suitable for working with large prints. We are excited to welcome everyone back into our space, and to ensure the safety of all, EDUCATION – PHILADELPHIA PHOTO ARTS CENTER Education. To ensure a class has enough students to run, please register early.You may register for a class up until the start date as long as the minimum number of students (at least three) has been met at least six days before the class begins.CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Tuition. The cost of tuition is $4,995 (includes portfolio reviews with a mentor, academic advising, and assistance with the final exhibition). Tuition can be paid in full or installments. Students will have an opportunity to meet with their mentors for a total of 10 hours during the certificate program.
