OPENNTPD: MANUAL PAGES Web manual pages are available from OpenBSD . These manual pages reflect the latest development release of OpenNTPD. ntpd — Network Time Protocol daemon. ntpctl — Network Time Protocol query program. ntpd.conf — Network Time Protocol daemon configuration file. The NTP protocol implemented in OpenNTPD is described in RFC 1305 and RFC 5905.
OPENNTPD: FEATURES
Many NTP daemons fail in different areas. Some are complex, follow archaic design practices, and are difficult to configure. Others are overly simplistic, only support client OPENNTPD: PORTABLE RELEASE At the time of writing, OpenNTPD portable is known to build and work on: Linux (Ubuntu 12.04, 14.04) FreeBSD (9.x, 10.x) NetBSD (6.1.5) Solaris (10.x, 11.x) Mac OS X (10.9) OpenNTPD may work on other operating systems, newer and older, but the above ones are tested regularly by the developers.OPENNTPD: GOALS
Our goal is to make NTP ubiquitous by providing a free simple implementation that is secure and easy to configure. Be as secure as possible.
