CROSSOVER QHD270 STUCK AT 640X480 RESOLUTION The tools displays that the native resolution is 2560x1440 but applying anything above the 640x480 resolution through the CRU would end up with a black screen and I would have to F8 back to safe mode to see anything on the screen again. My current setup is a 5700xt Red Devil running either a dvi adapter -> HDMI or a DVI -> Displayport.MONITOR TESTS FORUM

Blanking is the period between each line (horizontal blanking) and each frame (vertical blanking). This was originally intended to give CRT monitors time to move the electron gun. LCD monitors don't need as CUSTOM RESOLUTION UTILITY (CRU) Reputation: 136. Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) is an EDID editor that focuses on custom resolutions. CRU shows you how the monitor defines resolutions and other capabilities and gives you the power to change it. Add custom resolutions, remove unwanted resolutions, edit FreeSync ranges, andmore.
CRU - HARD RESET - MONITOR TESTS (10-05-2020 05:28 PM) ToastyX Wrote: The 165 Hz is a feature of the monitor, not something CRU is doing. There should be an option in the monitor's menus somewhere. CRU doesn't affect monitors that you didn't edit, and running reset-all.exe resets all monitors back to default. 4K OUTPUT ON NVIDIA 9600M GT So I created a custom resolution in the NVIDIA Control Panel and took a screen shot of all of the settings. I opened CRU and modified the 4k settings of the monitor profile to match. I restarted, connected the TV, went to the Windows Settings. The resolution for the Samsung now included 3840 x 2160 (Recommended) in addition to the 1920 x 1080. MAX GPU MEMORY CLOCK ON IDLE DESKTOP ON 144HZ RE: Max GPU Memory Clock on Idle Desktop on 144Hz. (08-07-2020 09:44 PM)ToastyX Wrote: Try increasing only the vertical total to 1157 (same as standard). If that doesn't work, try going a little higher, like 1160. If that doesn't work, then try another cable. Tried switching to CUSTOM RESOLUTION UTILITY (CRU) (05-30-2021 06:17 PM) Halflife Wrote: Hi, i'm trying to use CRU as a replacement to DSR, i managed to make window to recognize the resolution but when i set it i get a black screen. i set the resolution to 1440p (i tried with 60hz and 144hz but same result) for the timing it was set to manual with the same as my default resolution OC MONITOR STUCK ON YCBCR422 AND WONT GO TO RGB Reputation: 136. RE: OC monitor stuck on YCbCr422 and wont go to RGB. The pixel clock might need to be under 357 MHz instead of 360 MHz. DisplayPort HBR can only do 8 bpc 4:4:4 up to 360 MHz pixel clock, which is why it drops down to 6 bpc or 4:2:2 when you go higher. There might be some overhead that the driver is not taking into account NVIDIA SURROUND LOST AFTER SHUTDOWN I see a lot of real videocard and monitor knowledge over here, hope someone can help me. I have 3 similar freesync monitors (MAG 271CQR) all connected via DP to SIMCITY 3000 RESOLUTION PATCHER SimCity 3000 Resolution Patcher adds the desktop resolution to SimCity 3000 and fixes performance issues on Windows 8/10 systems. The .exe file for the CD version of SimCity 3000 Unlimited/World/UK Edition is encrypted and must be decrypted before using the patcher. This can be done using the no-CD patch (not available here).Skip to content

I would like to continue providing updates and work on new ideas, but I need your support. If you find my software useful, please consider supporting methrough Patreon:
FUTURE IDEAS:
* Scaled Resolution Editor - Create a new program to edit the list of scaled resolutions that are automatically added by the graphics driver. For AMD GPUs, this will also allow custom VSR resolutions. * EDID Writer - Create a new program for Windows that can write a new EDID to a monitor if it's not write-protected. This will work with AMD/ATI and NVIDIA GPUs. * Create a monitor database and search engine. * 1000 patron special - Create a new program to force monitor resolutions using hotkeys. This will use new methods to change the available resolutions on the fly, making sure only the resolution youwant is available.
COMPLETED IDEAS:
* CRU - Export self-contained EDID override installers. This also provides an alternative method for older Intel GPUs. * Create a simple program to work around mouse cursor corruption issues with certain graphics drivers and to make the mouse cursor match the current color profile. * CRU - Add support for DisplayID detailed resolutions. This is required to support resolutions greater than 4095x4095 and pixel clocks greater than 655.35 MHz. Proudly powered by WordPressDetails
