Over time and useage this becomes loose giving the impression that the drive gears are slipping. To cure this, you can either email Bachmann quoting the locomotive model number and part number for the plastic cup. Cost approx 2.50 pluspostage.

They too had a 3P 4-4-0 inherited from the MR which was for practical purposes equivalent to the L1, (and the complete SECR 'L' class which was equivalent the '2P' until they were rebuilt to match the L1) and known to be a better traction unit than the 2P.
